Beautiful city laid before me.
Beautiful girl lying under the tree.
The rustle of leaves engulfs the still,
the flow of French ripples as it will.
Gentle hill enhances the view,
appearing is the contrast of old and new.
Steeples and spires touch the blue,
mountains hem all in with beautiful hue.
Grass so green and plush as all.
Cooling shade which sun does stall.

*August 15, 1998, Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.
