Walking a skinny board over a cool lake,
trying to get to the other side, to finish.
You lose your balance and make a splash
then you scramble to the beach
fighting the desire to wade in the water more.
Back on the beam you're soon distracted
you slip into the water again.
After hours struggling you wonder why
you cannot get to the other side,
while you wade in the cool water.
Such is the struggle to get things done
that one must overcome, but can't
foster the desire to do it and focus--
balance is lost, one gets wet, and next time
the footing is slippery and keeps getting worse--
soon the sun sets and a deadline is missed.

A homonymless man writes shows what it's like to look up the laid he skirts when you’re lying prone(d) to the sidewalk, beer / joint / needle dangling from your hand /lips / arm.
South Baltimore serves as the backdrop for this gripping story of three brothers leading very different lives but joined forever by the secrets of a painful family past.
In a post-coup America, an Illinois farm boy is drawn into the resistance by his brother's death. Captured, he is given a choice: betray his friends, or the girl he loves will be lobotomized.
