My personal sky beckons
it’s only a thought in a myriad
a notion inside a mirage
as
the daily things await
speckled in plastic blood
percolating on brain’s horizon
they wait on the sink
in the kitchen
punched in to-do lists
table… desk… call list… laundry room
porch… yard… garage… basement
bills… letters… calls
they do not march
but sit quietly… expanding
gnawing on my mind
I push them aside and go to
my journal and quietly write
in my personal sky
as the chores
silently
cringe
and ominously
grOW
