This is a poem about a time when I was in an elevator and heard a favorite song of mine playing that I had not heard in a while. This poem is in my poetry ebook "Sunrise Roses".
HEATING CALUMET PLAYINNG
I had walked into a building
Was greeted by the sound
Of piped in music
A tune was playing that
I knew oh so well
The singer with one name
Was singing about the feeling
That he thought was lost
He found that feeling again
With someone who felt
The same way
I got lost in the tune
And listening to the words
Knowing that the same thing
Was happening to me
