This poem is about "1961....The Summer Of The Twist" in the early 1960's when the Chubby Checker Twist craze spread across the nation. This poem is in my poetry book "The Journey Through My Life".
1961....THE SUMMER OF THE TWIST Everyone was doing it Even outside in the sun Everyone was twisting it Made the summer fun Chubby was the singing rage Igniting a dance craze Even when the summer Drew into autumn And into the new school year The twisting was still fun
