This poem is about the winter of 1966 when it started snowing & then kept snowing off and on for 6 days and the time missed from school and what happened when we returned to school, This poem is in my poetry book "Lighthouse Rainbows".
1966....ALMOST SNOWED A WEEK The snow started on a Saturday And continued on a Sunday The snow lingered into Monday And the snow kept coming into Tuesday It snowed just enough Wednesday It was just flurries on Thursday So we went back to school on Friday And boy, we're we in for it Friday A whole week of studying in one day And if the teacher caught you Looking the least bit cross eyed You really did catch it, yee Especially from my teacher Who was an ex marine And when the school day was over Believe me, we we're very grateful
