OCTOBERS WINTRY PROMISE It had been a lovely October A bit dry, but nice Indian Summer paid a visit After the frost arrived But the clouds in the sky Took a ripply, wintery look And the colder air Was on the way Ready to arrive As the prognosticator Of coming weather Were sounding the alert For the coming winter season
