My poem "Abigail....Romantic Interlude" is about attempting to rekindling a romance 8 years after the "Date At The Pizza Shop" only to once again that you can not always turn a friend into a romantic love interest, especially after many years have past by.
"ABIGAIL....ROMANTIC INTERLUDE" it was a long 8 years later After the pizza shop date We decided to pick up where We left off from the date Having always been friends And we tried it once again To be more than just friends Or would it fail once again Thought it be different this time But way too much time had past Once again she would not be mine A romantic interlude with a past

Ron makes some good points. I was able to "reconnect" with someone I had not seen since she was five years old (I was seven and I loved her) but life's circumstances make it so that we cannot be together. Well, if not in this life, perhaps in the next. She knows how I feel. Your poem made me think about her... ...come to think of it, I always do. Thank you for sharing, Stephen. Love and peace,

Well you gave it your best shot. After reading your work where you went from "Beginning" to "Ending" leaving a story untold in the middle, I was sad things had ended so abruptly.
Having said that, people, times and circumstances change.
I agree with Mr Hull. There are a lot of fish the sea and the internet is a great place to go "fishing".

Our perceptions of people from afar (often over time or distance) can build up into something that is not reality. When we get together, that perception just isn't there. I guess that's why people now flock to the Internet to find new territory.
