SINGING THE DOXOLOGY

During the Sunday morning church service

When it is time during the sacred service

To receive the tithes, gifts and offerings

And the ushers have completed their collecting

 Of the ritualistic receiving of the offeratory

And the offerings are presented gloriously

To the pastors at the alter ceremoniously

And when the choir and congregation

Begin to sing the Doxology in unison

Giving praise to the heavenly host

The Father, Son and Holy Ghost

One can just picture with their imagination

The regaled angels coming down from heaven

Their angelic wings fluttering and uplifting

In heavens celebratory approval of the gifting
