My poem, "June----The Wedding Season" is of course about how the month of June is the favorite among brides - to - be for weddings.... This poem is also about the beautiful proceedings of a wedding....
A MONTH----JUNE----THE WEDDING SEASON The groomsmen are seating Family and friends arriving The wedding processional melody Is playing and the lovely Bridesmaids in their gowns Slowly walking one by one along The flower girl is prancing The ring bearer is gleaming The father of the bride Walking arm in arm with pride With his beautifully dressed daughter Down the aisle to the alter Leaving his beautifully dressed daughter With the man who is marrying her The minister begins the sacred ceremony Intoning the attributes of love beautifully After conducting a beautiful ceremony The minister pronounces officially The couple husband and wife officially

A beautiful way to describe the marriage ceremony. I always love that part. Especially when it is a happy marriage and not one that is forced or disliked by some of the family members.

What is sad is that so many young women focus so much on their weddings, the trappings and the process that when they try to settle down into marriage after they sometimes feel disappointed. It is money that makes a marriage. It's love. Big spending on a wedding is no guarantee that the marriage will be any more loving.
