My poem "Quietly Savoring The Christmas Tree" is about how every Christmas holiday season I will turn off the TV, turn off the lights in the room and just have the lights of the Christmas Tree on, the light reflecting off on all of the glass and crystal ornaments that are glistening colorfully....
"QUIETLY SAVORING THE CHRISTMAS TREE"
During the Christmas season
Late in the evening
I find my self
Sitting off in the room
Just observing the tree
Quietly savoring
The colorful beauty
Of the Christmas tree
Thoughts of gratefuness
Put my mind at ease
Thinking of the holidays
And the coming future to see

You brought back memories of entering the living room when the tree was fully decorated and well lit, casting a peaceful aura to the room that lasted well beyond first impressions. Truly a silent night light worth remembering. The only thing better would be to have a crackling fire in the fireplace casting shadows and flaming reflections off the tree and its ornaments.
