On the Wilmington / West Chester Pike
A throwback to the old days
Was there on that cold, snowy
Very late December night
When me & my family arrived
In our moving journey

Songs do stay with you....The only time I was in West Virginia was years ago when I was with my parents....And we went through the eastern panhandle on I-81....And was only for less than 30 minutes....
Some images stay with us, like that sign when you were moving…
As I crossed from Ohio into Wheeling and then into Pennsylvania on my way to graduate school in West Virginia I heard a new song on the radio by John Denver… "Country roads take me home… To the place I love best… Mountain mama, West Virginia, take me home.
Ended up spending seven years there. John Denver settled in Colorado.
It's FUN to see that welcome sign when you arrive at that state line.
Home sweet home might just be around the corner and that's just fine!
