For some reason, you seem to have equated courage with occupations. I don't think that is the case. While certain occupations continuously train to go into dangerous situations, courage can be displayed by anyone faced with a situation where courage is required.

I think it is courageous for an individual who is highly trained to going to dangerous situations, to not go in when that action would only cause the person to lose their life. That kind of courage is foolhardy.

I just saw in the news where a guy stopped some criminals in a high-speed chase by blocking them with his pickup. When they fled the stolen car they were in, he took chase and brought down one of the suspects. What he did was courageous, but the police warn against such spontaneous action has too dangerous for most people to undertake.
