My prose / poem "Another Day Ends In Florida" is about the "Snowbirds" who moved to Florida who all gather together in the evening for dinner, drinks and conversation....
"ANOTHER DAY ENDS IN FLORIDA" A group of friends gather At an ocean side restaurant With a boat marina and pier On Florida's east coast Intracoastal waterway It's another dinner fare It's another round of drinks Another beautiful Florida sunset Another evening setting in Another ending to a beautiful day

I gathered with them one winter when I traveled down the ICW to Florida in my boat, but they were all old and boring, playing card games, shuffleboard and such. I was still rather young in comparison so I was looking for a more interesting group. And most of them either came down by motorhome or car or flew to their homes while I was the only one with a boat. Imagine how many times I got asked to go fishing & they expected to do it for free; I got to pay for all gas usage, what a bitch & bummer. Suffice to say I was not there very long, as I slunk away in the dead of night to go to the Keys where the fun I did find that I wanted...-e-
