My poem "When The Wind Is Blowing" is about living in a 2nd floor apartment and when it is buffeted by the wind and it sounds like a fleet of dump trucks rumbling down the street....
Anyone who can hear dump trucks when the wind is blowing doesn't need advice from me. Just this: When you hear those rumblings, jot them down and tell us more about them.
I too am on the second floor & on the main thoroughfare Rt 322 and though I hear traffic noise, very little does it bother as, in point of fact, it is calming...-e-
