My poem "A Woman Beautiful And Smart" is about the atypical woman who is not only beautiful but also smart....The type of woman any man would ever want....
It is strange that you called beautiful women, "atypical."
From the small sample of my experience, time and time again, I found beautiful women who were also extremely intellectually talented. And, to top that, they were also the most levelheaded and kind, at least to me.
I would attribute those qualities to be the result of nurturing. Regardless of what they inherited from good genes, giving them beauty, they also inherited and were nurtured, in positive ways giving them an opportunity to develop their intellect and and overflowing of love which allowed them share that love with others.
I am an identical twin. My brother and I are very similar in every way. Once, where I worked, there was a woman who was also a twin but said that her other half got everything--beauty, brains… Everything. Genetics played a trick on her. But she corrected her eyesight with contact lens, had surgery on her ill formed body. Fixed her teeth with brown spots on them. And other things that I may have may not have known. Her personality changed overnight, because she was becoming noticed for her beauty in addition to her ability as a secretary.
