This was a nasty storm, high winds, sideways snow, numerous trees down, 80% of the area without power, street lights out....Food stores like the one I work at had as much as 80% of refrigerated & frozen products go bad & had to be thrown out....Power out at work & at home....Not something that I want to deal with again for quite a long while to come....

February was Spring like, then March came in like a lion....And now it's April & the March lion doesn't want to give in & give way to the lamb of Spring....And they're talking about some snowfall over the next few days....Unfortunately looks like a cool, wet Spring....Then come June and we'll go right into the heat of Summer....No in between around here....

Having the power go out can be quite an ordeal, especially if your life depends upon it. It's something that I have to think about, because I am now in danger if the weather is too cold or too hot and the power goes out.

Unfortunately, so many this year have had to face long periods of the power out in the dead of winter. It really makes me wonder how people were able to deal with winter cold and summer heat as little as 100 years ago before air conditioning became so convenient.
