My prose / poem "Refusing To Change Just To Please" is about how some people expect others to change just to appease them and just in order to be accepted by them....

 "REFUSING TO CHANGEBJUST TO PLEASE"

 

 

When one changes just because

Someone else acts bitter

Towards them for who they are

For no real reason at all

Please do not change

Just because you want to

Appease and please that person

Just in order for them 

To like you

 

Surround yourself with those

Who accept you

For who you are

 

Nothing more

Nothing less

Tell this to the corrupted politicians. They change what they've said in a matter of months just because someone tells them to change.

Call them what you will… boot lickers, brown nose others, social climbers, whatever… They are never quite destined to get what they want in the end.
