My poem "A Summer Saturday Celebration is about a summer Saturday, some people going off to a wedding celebration while someone else is on the way to the rigors or work while thinking of what might have been if a certain someone else had shown more consideration....

 "A SUMMER SATURDAY CELEBRATION"

It was a summer Saturday

A nice wonderful weekend day

As usual it was not a quirk

It was time to get onto work

My neighbors they were all happa

Getting ready to go to a gala

In gowns and tux's dressing

For a Saturday summer wedding

My thoughts turned to someone

Whose big head ego was number one

And our relationship fell flat

And if it was not for that

We could have had a reason

For a summer nuptial celebration

There are more fish in the sea to share your summer celebration.

Could have been the boss with the big ego who made you work on Saturdays so you missed your neighbor's wedding. But I doubt it. Like Sandie, probably had something to do with a relationship where you contemplated marriage but it wasn't requited.

Perhaps you both were not compatible with each other, and that was why you had parted. Consider that a blessing in disguise. Someone nice will come along. It's always an envy moment when others get married.

Sandie
