I meet my Doppelganger Double when I was working my 1st job as a sales floor clerk at a small store....We both did a double take when we saw one another....Through the years people would tell me that they saw this fellow....When I moved to Virginia, well he had already moved there....I went into a 7-11 type store and the woman who was the cashier said to me " You Look Just Like my Brother"....I knew exactly who she was talking about....He was married, had kids and was a doctor....He had moved to Arizona....Before I moved back to Pennsylvania....Well apparently he had moved back to Virginia....And of course there were people telling me that they had seen this fellow....
When I see my twin and I have the opposite response. We are identical except for some minor facial characteristics. Even into adulthood, people mistook us for each other.
However, I have had people on the campus where I worked for 30 years confuse me with another man on campus and I never saw or met. But then, all white men look alike. ;-)
I would not know how I would feel if I met someone who looks like me face to face. I probably may mistake her for my dead sister whom I have never met. Everyone says she had died before I was born, but I think she had been adopted by a couple.
It was said that each one of us in this world at least has one doppelganger. I must have more because sometimes people would wave at me on the street or in the mall, and then would start talking with me and I would have no idea who the person is. After a while then the person would realize it has been a mistake and awkwardly says goodbye and walks away. It's so funny, but I like to just stand there and let them talk and listen to what they would say. I'm bad! LOL!!!!
