My prose / poem "The Maddening Rush Before The Blizzard" is about the maddening rush on a grocery store before the arrival of a blizzard....
"THE MADDENING RUSH BEFORE THE BLIZZARD" Talk on the radio and TV About the approaching blizzard Shoppers were thronging madly In the store to shop for Those items that were needed People were in a hurry People were in a frenzy People were running around crazy Children and babies Were crying very loudly Then there was one man ho was just strolling about Whistling some long ago Broadway show tune Not sure about anyone else But it sure put me at ease

People are afraid of being "snowed in" like that will ever happen unless we live in the boonies of the mountains or forests, far enough from other people that lack of food could cause death. But I think not in this day and age, as even people who live out in the sticks know how to keep warm and have more than enough food set aside to last for several weeks at least...I don't live in the sticks but I keep plenty of extra food and emergency equipment around just in case...-e-

This incident actually did happened during the winter of 2017....As for the whistler, He had been around several times before and got on my last nerve....But I have looked forward to him showing up since....I have had several conversations with him....
