My poem "Life....Picking Yourself Up Off The Deck" is about life being a "school of hard knocks", picking yourself up and getting back into it....
"LIFE....PICKING YOURSELF UP OFF THE DECK" It is just another day It is just like surviving Each and every day Just trying and living Avoid the knock down wreck You just have to get up again Off of the proverbial deck And start all over again

That's the story of my life....Getting knocked down & getting back up again....You have to get back up & keep trying....Sandie like you said "Being the bigger person"....But most times the other person doesn't seem to get it....

My hubby and I had been knocked down many times in our life, but we took almost immediately to stand back up on our feet. I know it was our determination to survive after the fall that counts. We've never separated after every fall. It only made our love grow stronger. When we bounced back each time people started to call us for gathering again and conveniently forgotten what the harsh words they have said to us while we were down; but of course, we've forgiven them. We were the bigger persons!
