My poem "Meanwhile 7" "Just North Of Town" is about how some of us are doing chores and making plans, while towards the north of town there is a yard that is a "sea of pine needles" from all of the pine trees....
Ron, your review comment reminded me of a fall season while living in Virginia many years ago....It had been a beautiful fall....Up until the end of October....November arrived and with it the 1st frost and a cold wave and of course pine needles fell en mass....My parents were away for a weekend and I was playing "home alone"....LOL....And with it an acre of yard covered by pine needles....By the time my parents arrived back home late Sunday afternoon, I had all of those pine needles neatly raked up and made for excellent ground cover around all of those pine trees....Our next door neighbor told my parents that he was amazed how efficient, neat & quick I raked up a yard full of pine needles....But then I had the same reputation at work for being efficient, neat & quick....
Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
