My prose / poem "Affirmation Of Life 32" "Winding Up The Clock Of Life" is about the saying that you can't "turn back the clock" but you can sure keep winding it up....
I don't think that it's as much as an "Obsession" as much as it is a "Fear" that something "Bad" or Horrible" is going to happen to them if the clock(s) all stop running....Some people are afraid of death & dying....
This reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode that I have watch long ago that an old man has an obsession to wind up every clock that is in his house. He believes that if the clock ever stopped running his life will end.
