My poem "A Sunday Fall Celebration" is about someone recovering from an illness. all alone watching a football game, then the sports news comes on and he see's a past romantic interest who had an illness and was with her friends celebrating the home teams victory.
"A SUNDAY FALL CELEBRATION" It was a late fall Sunday A cold harbinger of a winter day I waas recovering from a health quirk And had been out from work Just about everyone was having a ball Watching an exciting game of football Afterwards watching the TV sports news They showed a woman celebrating That I knew Cheering on her football team with friends But she never considered me a friend Ity seemed not all that long ago She had an illness not long ago Looked like she was feeling dandy When I feel better, I will be happy
