My poem "A Day....September 24, 1970" is about a heat wave in September and the gym teacher having us run the mile.
"A DAY....SEPTEMBER 24, 1970" It was late September The school year was in gear A heat wave was scorching And we were all baking In gym class in school Running the mile was the rule We were all complaining To the gym teacher about changing The gym class sports scheduling But it was just to no avail And our request would fail
