My poem "A Day....September 4, 1968" is about getting off to a great start to the new school year.
"A DAY....SEPTEMBER 4, 1968"
It was the beginning
Of a great school year
And it looked promising
Like it would be my year
For I had made a pledge
At the end of the
Previous school year
That this would be the
Year that I had been hoping for
Calling it, "My Banner Year"
