My prose / poem "A Day....September 4, 1964....Wake, Virginia" is about spending a Labor Day Weekend at my grandparents place. This poem is in my poetry book "The Journey Through My Life".
"A DAY....SEPTEMBER 4, 1964....WAKE, VIRGINIA" We had come on down To Wake, Virginia For the holiday weekend Our grandparents house was full of our Visiting relatives I had turned on the TV To see some of the Baseball game With the Phillies and Giants With Dizzy Dean announcing I was really happy watching The old baseball showman Waving his ten gallon hat And singing his songs too
