My poem "A Day....October 29, 1966....Kyle's Birthday" is about a neighbor whose birthday was the night of the full moon, right before Halloween. This poem is in my book of poetry "The Journey Through My Life".
"A DAY....OCTOBER 29, 1966....KYLE'S BIRTHDAY" Kyle was celebrating His eighth birthday Halloween was just in a few days The moon was full that night And he was full of thoughts Asking me questions Like would the full moon On his birthday affect him This was my answer to him Do not let it bother you For it is a part of life So enjoy your birthday And forget the other stuff For others just want to scare you
