My prose / poem "The Fence" is about a wooden slat fence that stood for decades until it was replaced.
"THE FENCE"
There was a fence
Made of wooden slats
That stood for a long time
Protecting a untility facility
After many many decades
The owners decided that
The faciltiy was in need
Of a much newer fence
So they tore it all down
And replaced it with
A modern galvanized metal
Interlocking chain link fence
