My poem "Lyrics....Waiting For You To Change Your Mind" is about a man who does not understand his woman and is waiting for her to change her mind,
"LYRICS....WAITING FOR YOU TO CHANGE YOUR MIND" I really thought that I had you All the way back some time ago Something kept getting to you On the way toward our love show Why is it that when I get close You back off and fly like a goose Don't understand what's on your mind Waiting for you to change your mind I am still waiting for you It's time to see the light Seems that when it comes to you You might not be too bright Don't understand what's on your mind Waitng for you to change your mind This has been going on For quite some time Thought that I had won you over But you just keep slipping away Can not seem to win you over Just can not let you get away Don't understand what's on your mind Waiting for you to change your mind

A common theme. Men seem to be a bit dense when it comes to understanding why a woman might leave them. Waiting seems to be one of the worst things a man can do.

In order for a lyric to work for a song, it should be lyrical while simply read. And a rhyme scheme really helps. Your two-line refrain uses the same word, mind. It could be easily changed to a rhyming couplet like�

Trying to understand for such a long time
Waiting for you change your mind
