In the distance shines a light
To reach, barely to see

Though, a light that glistens.

Following the chasm, touching the life
Travelling its weary way
A million days and nights blind
A promise, a hope of promise.

Step by step along paved years,
Towards and back through-out
The light that shines beyond the lost
Waits without regret.

But trials of doubt and knowing
Within a labyrinth of fear
Lie warmth, reward and honour
An outstretched hand of love.
