The dead is resurrected Icy prisms coat the ground… The gloomy shades are lifted Until shadows fall around. But even then the purple hues Bring beauty to the night. While waves of navy paint the sky So stark against the white. A silence spills across the plains Where gentle blows the breeze… The naked branches bend beneath The weight of nature’s freeze. And I am moved within my soul By such serenity… The breath of winter whispering Its secret harmony. Outside I find my center Where I feel at one with all… I gather January’s dream Within the flakes that fall.
