I don’t know what I’ve done so wrong,
to make the time appear as if it’s so long
since I have heard your voice or felt your touch;
the very things about you that I miss so much.
I don’t know what I’ve done so wrong,
to make you think or feel that maybe you don’t belong;
right by my side in friendship at least,
to sing and talk at times, or sometimes share a feast.
I don’t know what I’ve done so wrong,
to make the relationship and time we spent together seem like it’s gone.
The phone calls, the drop bys, the time we spent alone,
the meals, the movies, and the long talks on the phone, all gone.
I don’t know what I’ve done so wrong,
without so much of a word you decide you’ll be gone;
away from me, and our times together.
I’ll kiss them and you all good-bye, alas, forever.
