This is intended to stop the reader, and make them remember to focus on what is real, what is important universally, and how our perspectives can be so illogically unbalanced, and what lies ahead in perfect balance. |

Evening Falls
The evening hours, they pass away,
while old folks rock, middle-aged walk, and children play;
all echoes now, then fades away.
The wonders of the setting sun, splashes wildly across the sprawling sky;
And quickly turns into gentile eve, as crickets, and croakers, and lovers come out,
to witness yet another day gone by.
The hues and tones of vivid display, change as sporadically and unpredictably
as each hour in the day;
The blues, the purples, the oranges and reds, fade into pinks and indigos,
as nature makes it’s bed.
Into the earth, the sun seems to sink;
leaving just a dash of light, touched pink.
The peaceful calm of a day perfectly ended;
As we ponder over hours, which cannot be rescinded.
How good or how evil another day has been, is certainly not the question of nature,
but of men.
For God makes perfect, every hour with His awesome art, and creative powers,
while man evokes but sin.
It is man who takes for granted, and corrupts the splendor of God’s extended cup;
the cup of His wonders, as we can understand and bear,
just for our enjoyment, and for us to share.
How many sunsets have passed us by, we didn’t see with our own eyes;
yet we will buy, and strive to capture, the image trying to simulate this rapture.
The beauty of so many things, are laid to rest among our dreams.
Why is it that we forget to capitulate these moments that we so highly rate?
And yet we happily encapsulate, the adventures so mundane, that we really hate.
If we would only take the time, to settle down a bit, and unwind,
the lengthy tasks and hours we squander,
while just for a few moments, let our mind and eyes go wander.
Across the vast, explosive hues, of orange, and red, and violet too;
the beautiful backdrop for nature’s less magnificent,
silhouettes and images of nature’s beauty, so innocent.
If we just stop, look, and listen, it is as if our mind and heart starts to glisten.
It is as if God whispers softly to us, thanks for loving Him;
a beautiful world and His only son is what He gave to us.
The beauty of a thousand nights and shades of evening’s setting sun,
cannot begin to even compare,
the beauty He has waiting for us elsewhere.
If we can just hold on a while more,
He will personally meet us on the clouds,
that sink into the sunset, becoming a seashore.
Then we’ll look back on this life, and the beauties that it held,
and they will be so faded, we can hardly remember,
that we were so impressed by it’s captivating beauty.
More easily we ignored it for something else that demanded our attention;
yet now, is even dimmer in memory than all the sunsets that we missed,
wasting the many presents from God, lying cold and dying in life’s rifts.
