Humility And Brokenness


I came in humility and brokenness,
The way I needed to be;
I was cold and still, yet not dead,
Rather sleeping,
When by my Savior’s side and kneeling,
His eyes and soft voice did heal me.

I was crying and sobbing from sorrows
I’d suffered and caused;
My pride was humbled to rock bottom lows,
And my body and mind wracked with
Brokenness and shame.
But He had preserved my soul,
And renewed it completely,
Making it whole.
