Lord, It Is You

Lord, I love the way you make me feel, when no one I know seems to care.
You always have an open ear, and I can always count on you when I fear,
the unknown experiences and mountains I must climb, in this uphill journey,
and the results in life that become mine.

Lord, even when I feel I’ve failed, in all I do and say;
You’re there to encourage and nurture me, to finish the journey the rest of the way.
To begin and finish the task is important, but the timing is in your hands.
For You, oh Lord, can lift us through it, or make us stay and again, re-do it.

Lord, you are my strength and shield, my rock upon which I stand.
There is no other one like you, not creature, nor any man.
You are the goal I focus on, as I lift my eyes to see, the most beautiful and kindest eyes,
that mankind has never known.

Lord, it is You, I fear and love, the one I need to guide me from above;
To who, and what, and where I should go; to the events, and people, and places I should know.
I trust in You, with all my heart, knowing in You alone, are my true identities known.

Lord, You know my heart, my mind, my thoughts, my every strand of hair.
Why am I so important to You God, when I am here, and Your are there?
You could have made a perfect being, so loving and so kind;
to do Your perfect will, and reflect Your image so well.

Lord, You knew when you made me, that I could never be, a perfect one with no bad thoughts or actions to go through; before I would receive Your gift, of life, and love, and loss.
I lost myself, I’m glad to say, so I might be more like You.
And I’ve not missed the one, I’m told, that gave me up for total loss.

Lord, my mind and thoughts, they wander, and sometimes my body too;
but You should know Lord, I’ll always have my heart stayed completely on You.

Lord, You are the best friend one could ever have.
Your love has been so unselfishly given, as You also gave Your life to me, and to everyone who would ever be born on this earth, that we might live in eternity, and enjoy the abundance of Heaven, because You came, and gave Your life so committed to Your Father’s goal.



Lord, I thank you again for my life, my children’s and my mother’s;
You have richly and abundantly blessed me repeatedly, while I can do nothing good without Your Lord.
I can do nothing without You, that is good, and pure, and worthy.
Lord, it is You, and You alone, that motivates me to love and give compassion, mercy, and kindness to others.
