The Stars Above

As the Christmas season approaches, we have had many beautiful crisp, clear nights which display the beautifully bright stars. They inspired me to write this poem.

 The Stars Above

The stars above, so bright with light,
write out the love, across the night.
A love so strong, sent to earth from above,
conquers all wrong, symbolized by a dove.

The stars above, in a night so clear,
shown bright the path, to the child so dear.
The fairest of the fair, so meek and mild He came,
But someday every knee would bow, at the whisper
of His name.

The stars above, in a sky so stunning,
shine just as bright upon the poor or those with money.
Just as His love is freely given to all,
so too is His salvation and grace upon all who call.

The stars above, wrote boldly the message,
The King was born in the lowliest vestige.
Just as the prophets of old had prophesied,
The Savior came and among and for us died.

The stars above, each and every night,
pass on the message they were created for,
to tell of His birth, His love, and more,
His birth, His life, His death, and future's store.

The stars above, throughout the whole world,
shine bright with a tiny glimpse of His Kingdom unfurled,
if we but just look to the Heavens above,
it's obvious to see and better yet feel, no greater love.
