As the sun sets my thoughts whirl on the golden horizon. The clock marks the hollow echo of lost hours. As the moon rises hope dims, expectation fades. The phone lies dormant; the door stands mute. Silence enfolds me with leaden arms. Copyright � Pam Patterson
