Busting rhyme
Write out of my mind
You give me the clues
Digging deep I listen to find
A funk soul brother
is blowing my mind
Running to tell them all Mother
Making the words letter chase
Turning inside out my vase
At the wall I'm breaking through
Check it in the hall
I'm mirroring you.
Rocking with you on Aesop
Flowing growing steady
Commence the backdrop
Hitting missing zero
Listen up - soul smoking
Lingering on the blacktop
Pulsing grinding
Hip hop on you riding
Grooving it
Loose moving it
My rhyming thing flying
This train pulling out the stops.
Cutting into the thick of it
No need to be stealing it
Just feeling it
No clone with a microphone
Hearing the gospel
Burning from your throne.
No need to be playing
Not a foolish chick saying
Rest a bit
Testing it
Flexing it
Taking me to an extreme,
Baby girl vocals wanna scream.
Checking flaws once more
Looking keen for the obscure
Stroking the glory, fury
Spitfire in my eyes.
Don't want to be cloaking it
There's so sugar coating it
When the reflex passes by.
Active tongue churning
Fingers & noses are turning
With the message that's burning
Weaving this on the fly.
A blind tunesmith
On the street is whalin'
Whipping out more vibe
Gripping vocals tight
Emotions like vegetables raw
Numb thoughts chopped short
Tossed like cole slaw.
Death arrived today
An eight ball express rocket
Carried my uncle away
Unraveling the pain
Love is what remains.

this is live. I could really get into it. I'm into hip hop. You should read my "ode 2 hip-hop" if you already haven't. perhaps i'll post more of my "rhymes" someday...
These timeless quotations culled from the celebrated corpus of writings by W.E.B. Du Bois are presented with illuminating introductory essays by Aberjhani. Narration of the Audible book performed by Catherine Byers.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
