with lots of woes.

Add love and lust

into the pot.

Betrayals too

can’t be forgot.

A father seeks

his daughter dear.

He travels far

while facing fear.

Hopkins is great

in this key role.

He plays the part

with heart and soul.  

We need to see

much more of him.

Instead we’re rushed

by someone’s whim.

To other folks

in different towns.

Connecting them

caused many frowns.  

There’s prostitutes

and men and wives.

Plus folks who want

to change their lives.

Don’t blame actors

for this film mess.

They play their parts

with real finesse.

Ben Foster shines

as does Jude Law

in stand-out roles

I’m glad I saw.  

New faces here

are also fine.

Their names alas

seem hard to rhyme.

Cohesion is

the problem here.

The movie’s point?

It’s not quite clear.
