Well put in poetry form what so many of us are thinking. What in the hell is a World War II style war being fought (badly by the Russians) in the 21st century? All that unnecessary death and destruction for what? Territory? Just adding to a huge, sparsely populated country?
Other nations cannot use military action because Putin would likely launch nuclear missiles. I'm thinking that there are among the Russians, those who are brave enough to take him down in spite of his killing or torturing anyone who opposes him. But economic sanctions and disruption of the Russian Internet, might just create the backfire you suggest.
