The latest development in my recovery involves my eyesight. It’s dreaded by anyone but especially film critics. So I had to write the short poem below. Although not meant to be amusing, it is a condolence to others who suffer from this serious eye condition.
So sorry to hear about this, Betty. So many physical challenges to deal with as we age. What a shame! I hope they have some kind of cure now. Many many years ago, my neighbor, 73, had macular degeneration. She went from doing very fine needlepoint of almost oriental quality, from a very course weave that came out rather abstract rather than detailed as result of losing her eyesight.
But I hope you are, "recovering." From some procedure that now can fix it and stop the degeneration.
