This poem deals with hospitality, as described in the book of 3rd John in the bible

Hospitality is an important part of our Christian walk,
People must know we speak the truth when we talk.
Always open your house to your fellow man,
It is part of God’s glorious heavenly plan.
If you do this with joy in your heart,
Then God, to you, His blessings will impart.
Offer a pastor a bite to eat,
And indeed you accomplish a heavenly feat.
Your soul will be blessed beyond compare,
And you’ll walk down the street without a care.
But if you are not gracious to one who preaches the Word,
Then your requests to God just may not be heard.
Do not imitate evil and say you are good.
Imitate purity and truth is what you should.
For as the Christians we profess to be,
People around us should plainly see,
That we live for God in all we do,
Praising His name and doing only what is true .
