Nod and Wave

Flowers, partners in everyone's destiny.

I strolled upon a hill with roses red

Mesmerized as they did nod and wave

By the gentle brush the breeze gave

No greater pleasure I can see, for me

Walking midst the beauty of a wildflower sea

In yon dell, how sweet the daises smell

What tales of love, untimely loss, they could tell

If they chose to reveal what they conceal

Sing praises to fields lush with daisies

Bright against sunrise in morning hazes

Nod and wave, 'til my soul's at rest

Upon a gentle rise, with roses nodding and waving

In a shallow vale, with daisies, their sweet smell

Reminds me of the overwhelming scent of honeysuckles that seemed to gather in the "Hollers" here at home.
