'Tis morn, I have risen
I prepare to don my armor
Mount my nimble steed
Remove my sword of battle
From the scabbard of truth
'Tis the sword of freedom
Blade with keener edge
Is not to be found
I will wield it in my quest
To slay another fiery dragon
In the battle for moral purity
Formidable foe are they
Those that dwell within
The darkest regions
Of the mortal mind
Disguised though they may be
Hatred, lust, greed and discrimination
Fire breathing dragons
Their onslaught, relentless
I must ensure their defeat
To permit the innate goodness
The purity within me
To be free of these ravaging foe
Then will I be enriched
By the warm light of goodness

I strongly feel that we might as well be dead if we don't strive to improve ourselves. That first glance in the mirror is the hardest. I feel like you've captured that growing experience here, and all the interior demons we possess. Write what's in you to write:)
