The art of artistic conversation.

My canvas is no longer white

Upon it now resides a new hue

It's a dark shade of azure blue

Still haven't figured out

What story it's to tell

Should it be bright or gray

What will it portray

Now for many a day

It has rested just that way

Below the azure blue hue

Emotion has begun to sift through

I'll begin to gently brush away

All that it will not portray

Only the hert of the story

Will I permit to stay

Artistic expressions are created

With the uniqueness of this play

My wish, that it's easy to read

There are no words you know

Brush strokes and oil colors

They'll have to tell it all

I hope it easily expresses

My artistic view, to you

And you, and you, and you

An interesting way of expressing your theme, Jon. There is a typo (I think) in the fourteenth verse "hert." Thank you for sharing. Love and peace to you my friend,

I like to believe that we each get several canvases a year...lol. The ending on this reminds me of The Sound of Music, when the children are saying goodnight at the party; the effect was that dramatic. Nicely penned.

I can understand what you feel.
I love all the colors, but the dark grays
can bring me down. I prefer to be up with
the oranges, greens, browns, and so on.
The brighter the better..
Great work Jon

It is magical the way it all comes together and expresses ones inner feelings.
