Season of might, winter cold and white.

Spring will not launch 'til February releases

Its icy grip on winter now in full onslaught

Tease and taunt, warmth and deep freeze

Farenheit and Celsius jousting for control

Snow and gales on a mission, on a roll

My hope before the summer solstice

We will be granted a winter thaw

Robbins and cardinals held at bay

From building nests

Weather has put them through a severe test

Canada and snow geese confused

A taste of mild

Then the weather again turns wild

North then south their flight

On wing day and night

An icy pact has been bartered

Winter wants it all

And then some more

Hurry forth spring, release your thaw

Return the land of pleasant to us all

I love cold weather, but couldn't take it up North.
I planted some flowers today. Got up to 60.
Yeah, all them Yankees come south, but they
don't make very good Hillbillies.

The anticipation of looking forward to Spring beautifully illustrated in these lines - well done. Love Spring, don't love the Spring storms - due for severe weather tomorrow and tomorrow night - yuck.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
