Orange Pekoe

A sip of tea to temper winter's cold embrace.

There is an icy blanket of white

Trees are bare, no leaves there

My windowed view of February

At ten and three again, I'll brew

Myself orange pekoe, a steamy pot

Sip it'till my body is sated, hot

One cup ably transforms visions

Of my windowed perspective

To include flowers in bloom

Mowed green lawns too

Orange pekoe, who would not

Desire a steamy cup, of you

Winter you're banished from here

Orange pekoe is brewing in pot

I do love my tea hot or cold. Cold iced tea even in the wintertime. Guess I am addicted to it. It keeps my going. I love a pot of hot tea also. Tea soothes the soul.

Such a magical brew you bring to mind, Jon. Anything that can dispel the chill of winter just has to be magical. Thank you. Love and peace,

Regis
