Passion in the Moonlight

Memories survive.

The passion of the night

Fueled by the moon's soft light

Moist lips quivering in anticipation

Of the kiss, the embrace to come

Lovers, face to face, on the sandy shore

Cool spray from the breaking waves

Carried by gentle breeze across their skin

The orbs in heaven's array, onlookers

Tender moments not easily forgotten

A time, irretrievably lost in the past

Though the memory is vivid, burns anew

Life's greatest moments, so basic

No great orchestra playing

The only rhythm, pounding hearts

Of two young lovers, about to embrace

Yet, no memory will survive longer

For the lovers, my dearest and I

Magic filled the night air

Star dust rained down upon us

Lightning danced at our feet

A most special night indeed

The greatest memory

A special ushering in

Love of a lifetime

Nothing can outshine

Passion, fueled by the moonlight

Okay, I’m fanning right now :-)… you’ve done it again my friend; like an artist with brush in hand, you paint a dramatic picture with your descriptive lexis, a picture of one of your most spectacular memories… I so enjoy reading your works… thank you for sharing once again! Love and Blessings, Janice
